Returns & Defective Product Policy

At ScaleRail3D, every HO scale industrial load is personally designed, printed, and inspected before it leaves the shop. These are small-batch 3D printed models created specifically for hobbyists, not mass-produced items.

Because of the 3D printing process, minor surface texture or slight variations can naturally occur. These do not affect fit or realism and are part of what gives each piece its character.

That said, if something isn’t right, I want to know about it.

Defective or Damaged Items (U.S. Customers Only)

If your item arrives damaged or has a manufacturing defect that affects its intended use, I will work with you to resolve it.

Returns for defective products are accepted for customers located within the United States.

How to Start a Return

Before sending anything back, please contact me directly:

Include:

  • Your order number
  • A brief explanation of the issue
  • Clear photos of the item

Photos help me quickly understand what happened so I can determine the best solution.

Every request is reviewed personally.

Return Shipping

If a return is approved:

  • The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
  • Items must be returned in their original condition.
  • Returns must be initiated within 14 days of delivery.

Once the item is received and inspected, a refund will be issued to your original payment method if the defect is confirmed.

Exchanges

At this time, exchanges are not offered. If you’d like a different item, you’re welcome to place a new order through the website.

International Orders

Due to shipping costs and customs processes, returns are not accepted for international orders.
