This detailed and accurate to-scale HO scale steel mill cauldron model complete with a custom-built transportation cradle is a great unique addition to your car / wagon loads and freight trains. This cauldron is designed with scale-correct proportions and rugged detail, making it suitable as flatcar cargo, or part of a full steel production scene. Paint it bright, weather it dark, or build it into a larger mill complex.

This custom steel mill cauldron car load with wooden cradle is 2.5″ long which is an HO Scale 18ft. This model is 3D printed and comes UNPAINTED with:

• 2  Cauldrons 
• 2 Cradles custom-designed and built for the size of the load. 

The load is sized to fit a typical HO flat car and can also be used in yards, workshops, or lineside scenes. Photos were taken on a HO scale 50 ft flat car (not included).

You get 2 sets unpainted. Each set contains a highly detailed cauldron and custom cradle. The 2 parts are separate, so you can place the cauldron on its own in a scene on your layout.

Shipping and Handling

The model will ship well packaged and boxed via USPS using their 4oz Ground Advantage rates for the domestic US. I do not mark up shipping, you pay what I pay.

I highly recommend buying more than one item in my range. That’s not just a sales pitch; the USPS costs are high. I can usually fit 2 purchases in one shipping box. I’m happy to ship globally at cost. If more than one item is purchased, I will combine shipping where possible. I have a lot of repeat customers and it would have been cheaper for them to order more than one.

Are Your 3D-Printed Models Ready for Painting?
Yes! Most ScaleRail3D printed models are ready to paint right out of the box. However, like most plastic models, some may need a light sanding or sprue removal for the best finish.

What Paint Works Best on Your Models?
I’ve used a variety of paints for the ScaleRail3D models. I would recommend using acrylics, and an airbrush gives the best results. Some of my favorite paints include Vallejo, Citadel, Tamiya.
